DANIEL MEYER - Governor

Daniel studied violin and conducting at the Royal College of Music where he was also President of the Students’ Association in his final year. On leaving the RCM he joined the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and in 1986 he joined the BBC Symphony Orchestra, leaving in 2023. Daniel was Chairman of the BBCSO’s Players’ Committee for three years and was the Musicians’ Union Steward in 1998-2023. From 2011-2021 he was also Chair of the MU/BBC Orchestras Committee and Chair of the Orchestral Section of the MU. Daniel was accredited as a mediator by CEDR in 2004 and by Consensio in 2014.
