The highlight of RSM’s event calendar each year, join us for the 2025 Jacqueline du Pré Annual Charity Concert featuring Adrian Brendel, cello, and Imogen Cooper, piano.
Playing a programme including Liszt, Schumann, Bach and more, this evening of exquisite music making is not to be missed.
Adrian and Imogen have generously given their services for free and all donations and proceeds from programme sales go towards supporting the work of The Royal Society of Musicians helping musicians in need.
One of the most versatile and original cellists of his generation, Adrian Brendel has travelled the world as soloist, collaborator and teacher. His early immersion in the core classical repertoire inspired an enduring fascination that has led to encounters with many fine musicians at the world’s most prestigious festivals and concert halls.
Regarded as one of the finest interpreters of Classical and Romantic repertoire, Imogen Cooper is internationally renowned for her virtuosity and lyricism. Recent and future concerto performances include the London Symphony Orchestra with Sir Simon Rattle, the Hallé Orchestra with Sir Mark Elder and The Cleveland and Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestras with Dame Jane Glover. This season her solo recitals include London, Dublin and Montreal. Imogen received a DBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2021.
