MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

Thank you for applying to join The Royal Society of Musicians, a community of like-minded music professionals that has been helping colleagues in need since 1738. As the UK's oldest music charity, our aims remain as relevant today as they were in the earliest years – to provide vital financial assistance, advice and guidance to those professionally active in the world of music whose lives have been impacted by accident, illness, stress or anxiety.

As a Member you will become an ambassador for the Society by referring colleagues in need, and helping us to grow membership amongst your network, joining some of the greatest names in music, including William Boyce, Edward Purcell and George Frideric Handel. In doing so, you will be helping people like Becky, read her story here. You will also be able to join our regular Members meetings, online Social Network gatherings, Healthy Practice webinars, and more.

To apply for membership, you must have been a professional musician or professionally active within the world of music (defined as earning the majority of your income from music activities) for a period of not less than three years preceding this application. You must be of British nationality or have been resident in the UK for not less than the said three-year period. Your application can be supported by two current members of the Society, a full list of members can be found here. If you do not know a current Member, you can still join us - simply leave this section of the form blank.

Annual Membership costs just £25 a year per person for those aged under 30, and £45 a year for those aged 30 and over. Life Membership costs £400 for those aged 50 and over, and £600 for those under 50.
